Can't see your question? Ask Chris.
How much are lessons?
Prices are on the lessons & prices page. Prices to add Pupils often mention how reasonable they are, especially for students and anyone working part time.
Do you teach in an automatic?
No, lessons are manual only, in a grey VW Polo. Passing in a manual means you can drive both manual and automatic cars.
Which areas do you cover?
The whole Scarborough area, from the town centre to places like Scalby, Newby, Eastfield, Seamer and Cayton. Not sure if you're covered? Get in touch with your postcode and Chris will let you know.
I'm really nervous. Is that OK?
Completely. Lots of Chris's pupils started out anxious, and several came to him after things didn't work out with other instructors. Lessons go at your pace, and nobody will make you feel silly for asking questions.
How many lessons will I need?
Everyone's different. The DVSA says that on average people need around 45 hours of professional lessons plus 22 hours of private practice. Some of Chris's pupils have passed in two or three months; others take longer, and that's fine.
Do you do intensive courses?
Yes. If you need your licence quickly, an intensive course packs lots of driving into a short time. Barry passed six weeks after his first lesson. Course lengths and prices to add
I've already had lessons with someone else. Can I switch?
Yes. Chris regularly takes on partly trained pupils, including people who moved to Scarborough part-way through learning, and picks up from where you are.
Can parents get updates?
Yes. Parents who've reviewed Chris mention how well he kept them in the loop, even from miles away.
I'm already a pupil. How do I book lessons?
Through the Total Drive app. Chris will set you up with it, and you can see and book your lessons there. Total Drive link to add
How do I book my tests?
You book your theory and practical tests on GOV.UK. Chris will tell you when he thinks you're ready for your practical test. The learner guide has the costs and what to take.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
